StagsNo1 I for one can remember the last time we were playing in the Championship in the 2006/07 season & I'm sure in the next 5 years we will be there again, never mind remembering the last time we were playing League football! You need to remember that we are only playing in the Conference because we were deducted 30 points not because we particularly played bad, the same season we won the Johnston's Paint Trophy! Good luck in League2, I'm sure we will see you there in a years time! LUTON 'TIL I DIE!!! COYH!!!

Haha, Portabbey, there`s not much point asking Gateshead fans for an opinion on here. You are just as likely to find a unicorn posting on here as a Gateshead fan! Hopefully a good signing though. Feeling quite positive about next season but i`m sure that will be gone by the end of August!

so davidnatt and stagsno.1 are showing that they are afflicted by the green eyed monster ! let it go ! luton are no threat to you c,os you are going to storm the leagues and be playing prem football in 4 years time. I think the prem in the conference will call you sooner ! now bugger off !

Think you are wrong about me not remembering being in the league, my Dad took me to my 1st Town game in 1959, the year we reached the FA cup final. Have been a supporter since then, so 50years watching League football, 4 years non league.Hope we get back again soon, but if not they will always be my team whatever league they play. By the way you lost your league status because your team were poor, Luton lost their status because of a 30 point deduction. Anyway good luck next year, I'm extremely envious to be honest, but its only football at the end of the day!

oakroader....i totally agree,us stags should have bags packed and gone by now..i recall 5 years ago not being able to let go and not accepting we were a conference team until our icon appeared on the teams tool bar at the top of this page. very strange but i cant let go until i see the icon has gone and barnet and aldershot are in place....cant wait for that final confirmation that the stags are out of this HELL.!!!!!!! good luck all true fans...you are going to need it as there are to many big and bigger teams now.forget the favourites that are "odds on" every year,be aware of the dark horses,my prediction is lincoln. be good every one,not good bye yet.(not be long though)

Well the season's just over and the new one's yet to start, but we have seen the mansfield fans finding it difficult to part! Go forth and multiply you lucky old stags, cause unless youv'e forgotten you shouldv'e packed your bags! A warm welcome to new and replacement posters on our popular site, but beware of getting too confident as it has a habbit of giving us all a fright! If next season lives up to its promise and teams are more evenly matched, then lets all hope we even have a site for our messages to be catched!! To all my fellow posters both friends and foes included, try and keep the faith without getting carried away or deluded. As most of us have found this can be an uncomfortable place, with more than just a few of us ending up with egg on our face. LOL(LOVE OUR LUTON) keep the faith bring me sunshine harry haslams barmy army

Have loads of faith in Simmo, haven't been able to say that about a Lincoln manager in the last few years! Getting some cracking players in, definitely think we will finish at least mid table next year, nice to see some fellow bsp teams backing us to be up there! UP THE IMPS!

Interesting to see a few of you predicting Hereford to do ok next season. I would have thought mid-table at best for them. Struggling financially and crowds dropping off, it could be a tough season for them.

To be clearer on my Gray thought and why I doubt you'd splash for him now: He's contracted and far from the finished article but is a rough diamond that is on the radar of Championship Clubs to watch and see how he develops. There will be a lot better, right now, strikers on the market for free. Gray will likely be playing much higher soon though. I dream it's with us after back-to-back-to-back titles but then I wake up in a sweaty mess!!!!!

Belizehatter Posted 23/05/2013 @ 14:02

Sure Stagman it was more of a jab at your agent provocateur than Stags fans in general. I'm not too worried about Gray. I would doubt he'd go to you, mainly as the fee would be too high at a guess but if it isn't I'm not sure a smaller club in a higher League would be his choice - no offense or antagonism just an opinion. Time as they say will tell and I think you might see some loyalty from Green which you deserve.

LUTON2020 Posted 23/05/2013 @ 11:13

Stagman65 you wouldn't be able to afford Gray! Apart from that John Still has been assured that any player he wants to keep won't be sold which includes Andre Gray! So you will have to look elsewhere for a replacement for Green. LUTON 'TIL I DIE!!! COYH!!!

The nattster... Slaughtered me in the past for name dropping..."Adam Chapman virtually certain to sign for Newport Stags fans, spoke to him on Friday"...Hmmm Kettle, pot, black?... I have to admit, I like looking at this web site, if only to see that table. MTFC top of the pile & crowned Champions! Ain't life just grand? Best of luck to ALL of you next season. A hell hole of a League, but in a strange way, a quite enjoyable one. Hope we don't return again though. I'm still in favour of 3 up, 3 down. Time for the Football League to get it sorted!!!

stagman65 Posted 22/05/2013 @ 22:41

belizehatter...I think we can still comment as (for now) we are still officially a blue sq prem club....best defender left?.... Jones was a threat in the opposition box, but sometimes in his own.....Green may or may not go....if he does you may well also lose out as Gray would be a frontrunner to replace him. Best hope they both stay where they are!!!
