Hey all. A few questions from a fan in OZ. After reading annoyed comments here...what is the price of a ticket during the season compared to the final? How many tickets have been allocated to each team? I assume Luton have sold their allocation?

luton fans, how can you say york support is bad? two finals travelling to wembley from york is expensive, half hour trip from luton isnt, just remember last year you took just 10,000, where were all these fans that time?!!?!?

Jason Walker needs lucky heather oakroader, when he was at luton he saw a gypsy peeing in on all four corner flags, the gypsy said it was for good luck, Walker said I'll try that on the penalty spot but he missed COYH ITSLUTONTIME

oakroader, pleased for you and other Luton fans that you are 'nearly' there to join the Cod Army next season. More Fleetwood fans are willing York to come up with as as they think York has a lot more to offer , York Minster, Viking Centre, beautiful city, race course, no its none of these, its just b... nearer. Good luck to you both, too close to call but its far bigger game than the match kicking off at 7.45pm on ITV

It would appear that you can sell up to 30,000 tickets, but to increase your allocation beyond that, you need 40,000 anywhere inbetween and it doesnt become cost effective. I dont understand that because one extortionate ticket price would cover at least 2 peoples jobs for the afternoon! Last time we took 42,000 but the tickets, if memory serves, were £15. £40 for a ticket in a recession is taking the P! Especially for non-league football!....I have spoke to LOTS of fans (all be it fair-weather fans) that find it too pricey and will be watching it down the pubs......If the price was reduced and the 2 clubs involved were allowed to sell the tickets, a lot more fans would find it easier and cheaper to buy tickets. More fans at a lesser price has got to be better financially surely?.....The clubs wouldnt RIP YOU OFF with £6 postage fee and £3 admin. fee. Someone is making a great deal of money out of this final!!!...How does the league decide what agent to use?....is it a democratic and fair selection?....Im sure there would be no nepotism going on....would there! ;-P

aqua- erm sorry dude, wimbledon took 7000 to man city and the attendance was 18000, and a fair few were neutral, so where'd you get that figure for lutons support last year?xx

you are spot on grimsbyforever with the post on ticket sales, york are a long way from london and I for one have nothing but respect for them. a big expence for two wembley visits, lets be honest, how many of us would have thought.. I can afford one which one should I choose. quite a lot of us I think ! here,s to a good game, a fair game, and decent officials! saying that, COYH.

Went to a bulimia cnferrence the other day, the place was heaving!! Your Bobby Moore statue comment made me laugh Rougue84. Apparently a pint of Smiths costs £4.50 in the ground, and a programme is £7.00, Rip-off!!I'll pick one up after the match, the ones that the York fans throw away in disgust after losing the game!!COYH

Oakroader its an absolute disgrace. When we played northampton in the 1998 play off final we only had just over 20000 there and they had over 40000 so they put a load of their fans in the top tier above us which had been allocated for grimsby fans. Why can they not do the same this time?

delboystag Posted 16/05/2012 @ 15:01

lutontime, you could be playing against 12 men, or 11 men & one woman if you get a woman officiating. I'm sure the Conference DON'T want to see a big Club like Luton climbing out of the BSBP. It would obviously weaken the League's prestige, so I think you're lads are going to have to play out of their skins. No attempted hand balls & no `Nearly` tackles or yellow & red could be the colours of the day. Enjoy it & here's hoping the BEST team wins.

lutontime it's certainly interesting how you are concentrating more on the size of our support rather than the 11 players that are representing us.....pride comes before a fall and all that! having said that, i'm getting less confident by the hour!

The grand old duke of york only had 6000 men, he marched them down to wemberlee, then he marched them back again, and when they were up they were up, and when they were down they were down,we will beat them fair and square, cos we come from LUTON TOWN, COYH ITSLUTONTIME

There's no disgrace in yorks number of ticket sales. Its only because of lutons terrific support that yorks seems tiny, against most other teams in this league those ticket sales wouldn't be too bad.

haha absolutely not delboystag! tickets are proving hard to sell up here, what with last weekends trip and the prices of the tickets, plus a return train is nearly £90 i believe. we're not pretending we have as many fans as many of the other sides such as luton, mansfield etc but we are certainly doing our best and should sell double our average home gate. luton fans, i don't uunderstand why the FA haven't just let you sell as many tickets as u can??! have they given u 2nd tier tickets as well or just lower? great words from you fellas, i will also be by the Bobby statue so perhaps we'll meet! i'll be white as a sheet and mumbling nervously to myself in serious trepidation!
