yellowstagsfan ....please dont tar me with the 'jealous' brush....i have been on this forum since we were relegated because of financial mis-management[not results], and i have never posted resentment about Crawley or Fleetwood....i am 'jealous' of no one because i support Luton Town. That is good enough for me....if we go up its because we deserve it...if we dont its because we havent done it on the pitch. Fleetwood are doing it on the pitch , money or not...thats what counts !!!!!

not sure how many are going trannie, as I think most people are waiting until tomorrow before they plan anything for sure! should be at least 500 I would have thought, hopefully the fact we didn't get a game tuesday night means a few extra will have withdrawl symptoms and we could push up towards 750-800. any news from GTFC on the status of the pitch at this stage??

delboystag, forget that Nottingham is just a small suburb of Mansfield -you dont happen to be a closet fan of Mr Clough's former team ? What are the chances of the game with our lads being played at the weekend, forecast does look very dodgy.

belizehatter, if you had taken the trouble to read one of my earlier posts to you re 'budgets' for football clubs you would have seen that I expressed the view that Fleetwood Football Club should publish their profit and loss accounts. I am all for transparency in the way football clubs run their business. Harrythehatter, point taken mate but Pilley has not just come into Fleetwood, he has been there since 2003 and we have all seen the club develop slowly, steadily over the last 8/9 years. The guy may be called a sugar daddy, the reality is he loves Fleetwood Football Club. At least you have had the grace to say you dont want a sugar daddy, belizehatter has bottled that answer !

Anyway it wouldn't be fair to have a fight with davidnatt (the voice of reason), as he said in one of his earlier posts, all us grimsby folk are inbreds, therefore my webbed hands would do to much damage to him when I hit him, also, I don't agree with hitting women so I couldn't lay a finger on the she male!! Hoho up the mariners!!

DubaiBoundRed, done a little digging into MC situation. Apparently the new contract changes very little. Seems he's got Get-Out Clauses written into it. Also, if Wrexham go up, he stays. If they don't, who knows? That's come from a friend of his, who I trust explicitly. I'm told we're not interested in the other one wanting to join us. Seems we could be very close to sorting out our ground & Mr Radford has said it WILL be done by March 1st, enabling us to go up if we were to get into the Play-Off's. Postponements not doing us any favours atm.

codaplenty, a VERY BIG ERROR in one of your posts. You mention Nigel Doughty putting money into Notts Forest.. It's Nottm Forest mate. Florest fans HATE being called Notts... It's Notts Clownty & Nottm Florest. Please remember in future, or you'll have them after you..lol

Nellyboob, Codaplenty. You are both wrong my friends. I think I speak for all the Luton lads when I say that we would not want a sugar daddy at Luton. We have had awful problems with money in the past due to dodgy directors. I would rather make mediocre progress knowing we are solvent as we are now. Pumping money into a football club by individuals is a short term fix and when the bubble bursts the downs are worse than the highs. If Abramovich pulled out of Chelsea tomorrow, they wouldnt be able to pay the first weeks wages. Look what happened to Leeds. Its that fragile!

Rogue84 couldnt agree more let the gods shine on us and the match be on. How many tickets sold at the cresent I hope more than 500 but should be a great game and a very good guide to how town actually are progressing. UTM SWWF

Not a single luton player listed in the top twenty goal scorers list so far.Even though we've scorred plenty of goals this season.Do we put this down to a healthy contribution from the squad,or is it a sad reflection of our strikers?? rsvp keep the faith bring me sunshine harry haslams barmy army

Perhaps the Inland Revenue could take over at Fleetwood if Piley walks. They just spent 8m on a trying Harry to recoup the tax on 189k. Smart.

Neither Squealy or codaplanty can read or perhaps comprehend and I also agree with Squibs to a point. I do however think the authorities will be forced to clamp down on clubs living outside their means as Platini has a bee in his bonnet about it in the Premiership and he will be the next FIFA president. So while the FA don't give a sheet about the small clubs going busto, when one of the big boys goes or Platini gets in they will have their hand forced.

Hi squibs, apart from agreeing with you there is one essential part that has been missing from this debate. Fleetwood have bought some very good players but they have to play together as team, in many ways work even harder because of expectations and that certainly includes tha manger. So long as they continue to do this they have a good chance of being promoted, but as has been pointed out by an earlier postee we have some tough games coming up -starting with the Mansfield boys this weekend !

Belizehatter, if you were the lucky devil who won £45million in the lottery last night, and you wanted to invest some of your winnings in your club, do you think the football authorities should say no because it is not sustainable money? The complaining does sound like sour grapes.

Its plain and simple! I actually agree with squibbon...the 'higher' authorities in football dont give a damn about anything lower than the Premier League....if a clubs got a sugar daddy or is in financial turmoil means nothing at Lancaster Gate....i dont like to see teams buy the title, but they still have to do it on the pitch....Fleetwood are doing just so, and Wrexham who were nearly defunct last year are doing likewise.....all the FA are interested in is the play off final....that lines their coffers not a team like Fleetwood or Crawley

cause all Lutons fans would be complaining if they were in Fleetwoods position with loads of money being pumped in wouldn't they - sour grapes it is called!!!
