Got back from my Jollies yesterday, having missed both Semi-Final games. Came home thinking that York were probably worthy winners & I had ABSOLUTELY no problem with that! However, after watching the highlights of the first leg, it's apparent winning by unfair means for Gary Mills & his players is ok. Did Green ACTUALLY catch the Keeper for his 1st yellow? He went down clutching his hand, yet it looked more like Green MAY have caught the Keepers side IF ANYTHING. Oscar nomination on the cards for his antics? How did Fyfield escape a second yellow for his cynical foul on O'Neill? Apart from O'Neill, none of the Stags Players pushed for a second yellow (maybe a lesson to learn there?) & Smith did a great job of deflecting the Ref's attention from the incident, plus York players protesting his innocence & the Ref bottled it. Green DIDN'T handle the ball for his second yellow & the Ref's view of it was blocked by Howell, which means he was conned by the York players screaming for a second yellow. Gamesmanship is a horrible habit throughout the game which is unfortunate & it should be stamped out completely. Cox should have warned his Players about it, as the York Players tried their best to get Howell sent off at York on New Years Day, before Cox withdrew him at half time. I wanted a York win in the final, but now I certainly hope Luton pull it off & I also hope a strong Ref is appointed. Before you York fans accuse me of sour grapes, re-read my second sentence.Plus,I have no problem losing a game, as long as it's by fair means.

God you are very slow doing your painting Nelly, Im sure you started it at least 2 weeks ago, when Luton were thrashing Fleetwood away. Own up you'll be watching, sticking needles into effigies of Luton Town players!! As for calstags Neanderthal post about matt rhead (whoever he is?) being harder than joey barton,it just about sums up your, and your teams thuggish attitude. So glad we were spared playing your lot in the playoffs. At least York play the game the right way.COYH

sorry Luton fans but there is currently a Temporary Rift in the Space-Time Continuum and a shortage of delithium crystals for the warp drive so you will not be getting promotion this season - resistance is futile!!!

FA will probably let us know this week but probably be Evostik Premier at best so its a long way back with practically no players and no ground. Were playing at Shildon next season and that is a pretty run down ground but fair play to Shildon as they are prepared to accept us.Thanks for the good wishes Rogue84and Kiddykid

Great day on Saturday. Fantastic to see York grab some winners medals! But no disrespect to Newport, we all know the big one is on Sunday! Luton may have more fans at the game but at the end of the day it's 11 v 11 on the pitch and York will fight to the very end. Bring it on Hatters!!!

Have to laugh that radford is going to splash the cash next year, could not even afford a light bulb for play offs or took them out on purpose, good sportsmanship

I agree with you nattster old pal I do think mansfield will be right up there again top 2 or 3 I reckon and we probably will be mid table again, I've learned never to expect too much from the mighty mariners. Bonus is that we've got rid of 2 strong teams fleetwood and luton/york and replaced them with 2 that have no chance of being at the top in hereford and macclesfield so may be a bit easier hopefully?

DubaiBoundRed Posted 14/05/2012 @ 14:44

Good luck to both teams this sunday - York probably play the best football in the league but I am sick of losing to Luton in the play offs so for that reason only I will be following them!!!!

Planetry alignments are important. The last time Jupiter was up Uranus, a certain team whose name remains unspeakable, were relegated. It is written in the stars, Luton Town are in the ascendency. COYH

The last time there were 5 different winners at the start of the F1 season Luton beat Man City 1-0 to stay in the top flight, (One Raddy Antic, there's only....). 5 different winners this year! The last time Man City won the title Luton won the old 4th Division. The planets are lining for a Hatters party. The future is bright, the future is Orange. COYH.

What seen them on telly at wembley Nellie!! I didnt know that stat Lutontime "no goal nellie watched it on the telly!" Anyway glad you keep reading my assumptions, right or wrong. Cant remember too many wrong ones though. Sold out our allocation for wembley, 27,000, they are thinking about opening top tier. Still worried about our record against York though, maybe our fortunes will change on Sunday. COYH

Cleethorpesforever is back!! Happy with midtable this year my friend? I told you last time and will tell you again...midtable again my friend for you next season, whereas Mansfield are worth a few quid of anybodys money to win the league next year. John Radford stood up at the end of season dinner and promised to back Cox to buy whoever he wishes to bring into the football club, although in my opinion maybe only another 3/4 quality players would suffice should the out of contract players resign. We'll be one of the favourites, and I agree with lutontime in that it will be the same teams at the top next season, so have a hard earned tenner on us next season cleethorpesforever, you won't be disappointed pal.

Well done York on trophy win, not really a surprise though. Next Sunday will be different. Different class of team to play, COYH.
