well...not sure what to expect tonight. Disappointing at Gateshead, 2 massive away trips in 5 days, and now another Tuesday night game against a free-scoring Mansfield team. I've got a lot of contacts in and around Mansfield who are ready for it (not sure if they meant Madness, Westlife or the football), but it's a game that is hard to judge who'll win. 2 good sides, lots of goals here last year, and then cancelled each other out at yours on a freezing tuesday night. Can we win? Yes! Can you? Yes! Put me down for a 0-0? Not sure. Looking forward to a good game of football, so don't let me down lads. Bring on the stags, and hopefully they enjoy a warmer night out than i did last season coyh!
cityfan/jamesycfc - thanks for your replies. i agree that confidence will always be a factor in football, that's why you see so many promoted teams have a good first season in the league above. york are a good side, and even though your players are panicking, i don't think there's any real reason to as the quality will show at the end of the season. regarding your place as you said, a long long way to go. lucky for us we're holding back our surge to repeat stevenage last year. but that means that it'll be us and AFC to go up as Oxford were walking it at this stage last year. lots of football to be played yet. also well done yesterday afc. coyh tomorrow!
lutonphil - fully agree with you. us fans pay money, so i can understand why some of them feel they are allowed to abuse and heckle, but as long as they're in a luton shirt, i'll support them. remember, last season, all of our players struggled to adjust to this league, so give Besta some time and the more he plays, the better he'll get. also, shame to see craddock go, especially to oxford, but best of luck to him. hopefully we got our money back for him, no idea why there's all these "Undisclosed fees", just tell us the amount for god's sake. what's the point in it guys?
probild - got to say, congratulations for the thrashing of rovers! Was waiting for JackFrost to turn up to seek the glory but he is yet to appear. Where do the majority of people go once they get promoted? Is there a forum as good as this one? It seems like the Premiership will never begin, and I've got to say, I keep winding up the mrs about it. She's still not grasped the fact I'm on about the Blue Square Premiership as the best league in the world, but not to worry! COYH!! Best of luck to all teams on Saturday, apart from Altrincham anyway
Hi everyone, good luck to both teams on Sunday. I personally will be supporting Alfreton, purely because it's a local game for myself to go and watch. Being in Stoke, and regularly travelling to Chesterfield for girlfriends family, I constantly drive through Alfreton. Was hoping we'd be in League 2 next season so I'd be watching Chesterfield, Burton, and many many more local games, but if I only have Mansfield and Alfreton, that'll do for me. Best of luck and look forward to meeting whoever wins. I think it's a shame that the final's at Fleetwood's ground rather than a neutral place, is that normal?

I wil still come back on here when Luton go up to league 2 next season!!!! COYH :-) David Pleats Ora... MORE >>

Stags1973 - May I remind you that at the beginning of the season (and most up to Xmas) you stags fans were saying you'd be in the playoffs this year, you'd go up...what happened? OK, so you get a day out in wembley (could go either way, but enjoy your day either way), but is that really the priority for you guys? Most the teams in the top 10 are more than capable of holding their own in League 2, but you don't seem interested in trying. Good to see I'm working my way up foggys league table, but lets hope we stay where we are in the league, 3rd place with a promotion place please. Oh, and 3 points tonight at Carnival de Gatwick. COYH! Also, for Crawley fans, are you slightly disappointed that the presentation's tonight rather than a satuday?
