It will be interesting to see how Wrexham react to a defeat without a manager. I'm not saying this or next week but whenever they first lose managerless. Expecting Mills to play a weakened team in FA Cup and then starting 11 in the league in a fortnight.

Another great result from the Minstermen today! Shame we conceded 2 goals but doesn't matter if you score 4! Chambers and Walker on the scoresheet again. Get McGurk back in the middle of defence again and the clean sheets will follow. MASSIVE game against Wrexham in a fortnight now. Should be looking at around 4,500-5,000 in the Crescent!

Really pleased with the comments from Cambridge's manager after the game. 'York are the best footballing side in this league' Good sport.

Great game last night. Don't think i will ever see a more one sided draw again this season. There is no wonder Cambridge have one of the best defences in the league THEY PUT 11 MEN BEHIND THE BALL AFTER SCORING A GOAL! We absolutlely battered there defence with 30 min to go and didn't think they even got into our half! Anyway poor result tonight for us York fans. Can't believe we have our most talented CB sat on the bench in David McGurk! Didn't see Wrexham beating Luton i was expecting a Luton win...

yorkcity4life16 Posted 17/10/2011 @ 14:07

wow interesting FA Cup draw! Tough game away at current league leaders Wrexham for us so that means playing Wrexham twice in two weeks! If i could choose now i would sooner lose in the FA cup and beat them at home in the league a week later.

yorkcity4life16 Posted 16/10/2011 @ 22:39

you can see Jason Walker's goal on Youtube now!!! IT'S A MUST SEE.

Very happy man tonight. Always going to be a tough game when Grimsby were coming off the back of a 5-2 win so their tails were up but once again a great result for my team and Jason Walker take a bow. Possibly goal of the season. Also Chambers seems to have found his scoring boots. Roll on Tuesday and fatty gashy back at Bootham!

When looking at the fixture list for this weekend i think all eyes will be on the Luton vs Gateshead game however i'm expecting a tough game from the mariners tomorrow. If we start well and play the standard of football as we have been doing lately i can see 3 points our way. Bringing my grandad (Grimsby fan) to the game so a slight family rivalry. C'MON MINSTERMEN!!!

yorkcity4life16 Posted 08/10/2011 @ 23:22

Fantastic 6-2 result for the Minstermen today, let's keep the promotion train going! Every single York player today was excellent and the football we played was of a different league.
