Been following york city 20 years mainly through"thin" but this year i think we are going to do well.squad together early strong spine lots of fire power and plenty of competition.spirit good season tickets healthy and every body buzzing.great showing against a decent leeds 11 the other night. With Mcbreen still to come in and a bit of summer muscle added to some great talented and quick younger players the cloggers from the likes f histon and salisbury will in my view shown up for what they are-we shall see and i have eaten humble pie before but until the 9th the dream is alive so look out crawley the friendly invasion from the north will soon be drinking your beer chatting up your woman and filling your coffers!come on city!!
York will be the suprise package this year! Well worth a flutter @ Blue Square odds!! Mansfield will be the biggest flop
This may sound a daft qusetion to ask but what style of football do York play such as type of passing etc.
Who do you think will go up and down from Blue Square Premier and who could cause a surprise.
The editor says.... That is a good question ilovetheblades. I think Torquay have a good shot at promotion, while Oxford have made some super signings. And you can never count out Mansfield - if McEwan succeeds at rebuilding the squad properly. And to answer superstagadam's question - Blue Square Premier, North and South will all be using the Umbro ball as per last season.
just would like to say bye bye enjoyed the last year now lg one here we come ECFC
Hi mr Editor just to let you know Kettering Town fc has just signed Gareth Seddon from Hyde Utd a prolific goalscorer things are looking very rosy indeed .And there is a new optimism at rockingham Rd COME ON YOU POPPIES LETS SURPRISE A FEW PEOPLE CHEERS MR EDITOR:
Billy McEwan's team building is going nicely .. As yet , a good mixture of young & experienced with more to come !! UP THE STAGS !!!!!!!!!!!!
good signings for the stags, but many more needed,a very small squad with injuries cost us our leauge status last season,i hear mark crossley is on his way,he would be a gerat asset to the team. yellow fishy
Re:gregc I think you underestimate this league i don,t think you will go straight back up lots of good sides. my team ktfc got promoted i will be happy not to get relegated but you have to keep the faith good luck mansfield all the best can,t wait to visit your ground
Interesting times ahead at Cambridge! We lose Jimmy Quinn, in rather odd circumstances, and several key players have departed too. However, we have appointed well since, including a good new management duo, and it will be interesting to see what happens this season!
Just Signed Goalkeeper Jake Cole on a 3 month loan from QPR ! Another Great signing for us ! The U's are going up !!!!!!!!
Hi mr editor what is the standard ball used in the blue square as it used to be mitre over in football league just wondered what ball stags will be using :)
The editor says.... Heya superstagsadam. Finding out from the powers that be whether they will be an official ball for the Blue Square Premier and what make it would be. Cheers!
John Dlaryea is back at Field Mill, I hope he has regained his form and recovered from that horrid ankle injury. Up the Stags!!!!
Thank you Mr Editor Man for updating the Transfer page...Watch out for more signing next week and please try to keep up, Oxford are the team on the up..
Hi Mr Editor man, Just thought I should keep you updated with the comings and goings at the Kass Stad, Oxford have another new loan signing of League One Colchester Striker Jamie Guy plus Joe Burnell who we signed last week is still not on your transfer page...Try to keep up
The editor says.... Oi Cheekyyellow15, now I know why they call you cheeky :) Trust me we are trying to keep up., but these signings come through thick and fast. So we are grateful to true supporters like you who are always in the loop. Ps. Guy is in there and will add in Burnell. Cheers
Thanks for the comment editor. Looks like Paul Talbot and Steve Baker are both on their way to Newcastle Blue Star as well.
i was so sad when i heard that ernie cooksey died last week when i watched him at grays ath i thought he was a great player RIP Ernie!!
yet agian nigel clough names to strikers he wants and some one else comes in first. either belt up nigel or get mr ben robinson to put his money where his mouth is. and good luck to daryl clare-rushdon fans you got one hell of a player a burton fan living in hope for the new season.
up the Stags! Taxi for Haslam! Lets get behind the boys
A bit like Heed_Al, above, I think you need to update your transfer lists for Wimbledon... Out: Gayle (retired); Howard (emigrated); Jolly (Carlshalton); Beckford (released); Beard (Haywards Heath Town); Quinn* (Welling); Salmon (released); Ferguson (Billericay); Webb* (Chelmsford); DeBolla (released); McDonnell* (Bromley). In:Taylor (Horsham); Inns* (Hampton & Richmond); Judge (Bromley); Peacock (North Greenford Utd); Davis* (Lewes); Sullivan (Braintree Town); Aiteouakrim (Hendon). I'm sure you've featured stories about these transfers on your site at some point already!]
You guys still havent added to Stags news that we signed Stallard
The editor says.... Hey superstagsadam. Stallard's move is subject to a medical and although all the terms have been agreed, the move could still fall through (hopefully it doesn't for the sake of Stags fans). The story/quotes about his move is up on the site. Glad you guys are so interactive and on-the-ball! The transfer window can be pretty draining, unless the team you support are signing the players you want :)
Oh and also Oxford have signed midfielder Joe Burnell, from Northampton before Chris Carruthers who is another great catch for a team that everyone else was starting to write off because of a lack of transfer dealings. Things are really starting to get better and better..
Your Transfer page is a little bit out of date in regard to Oxford Unt..!! We have just had three new signings in James Constable, Lewis Haldane and Rob Davies. Things are just getting better and better at the Kass Stad..
The editor says.... Looks like you fancy Oxford's chances this season? And you will be glad to know the signings have been added to the transfer centre. Heard any transfer gossip?
You don't have any transfers for Gateshead, but here are the following: IN: John Brackstone (Darlington), Phillip Turnbull (Hartlepool), Alex Francis (Newcastle United), Mark Bertram (Newcastle United). OUT: Richard Flynn, Steve Bowey, Jamie McClen, Paul Brayson (all to Newcastle Blue Star), Chris Hughes (unattached).
The editor says.... Hi thanks Heed_Al. The problem is that we do not have links to the stories as yet due to the fact that Gateshead are newly-promoted. We will try to get in touch with the club to confirm all the above. Cheers!
AAAH Chalky, But at wrexham you've spent all your money & now your skint !!! Get used to non-league ... MORE >>

york try to play football from the back using the pace frowm woolford in particular. They have some pace up front and scoring goals not really a probem.however messed about last year between 442 and 3 at the back and ended up in chaos too many times to mention have signed some decent looking central midfield players close season and with the addition of mcbreen up front should in my opinion play rather than hoof them selfs into the play offs stevenage rushton and oxford the pick of the rest
